How does Finli's pricing work?

This article goes over Finli's pricing and other related questions such as transaction fees, the annual plan, and what constitutes a customer.

Once your free trial is over, Finli charges a platform fee on a tier pricing system based on the the volume of transactions that you have or number of customers that are active in your business.  You can check out our latest pricing on our website here!

Are there any transaction fees?

Finli has 0% transaction fees for ACH transactions. Part of our mission is to help businesses and their customers take advantage of  the great benefits of transacting bank-to-bank with ACH payments (you can read more about this here).

We offer your customers the ability to pay with credit cards and debit cards, for their convenience, as an alternative to ACH, for a 3% fee added to their bill..This is a pass-through expense that we charge so that we can continue to keep our platform fee low and ACH transactions free.

And this doesn't mean that we let a payment processor pass through additional fees to you.  Using Finli means that we do all of the transaction processing for you.

How does Finli count customers in calculating pricing?

Finli pricing is based on how many customers you have. We only count “active” customers, which means customers who are entered into your Finli system and are actively receiving invoices from Finli.  Any customers who are marked as “inactive” are not counted.  We strongly suggest that you inactivate former customers rather than delete them in case they come back, you want to send them a promotional email, or you want to access their historical records.

We count a “customer” as the person who pays the bill, so even if a Customer has multiple participants or students in their account, you're only charged for one customer.

Regardless of the amount of invoices they receive, the dollar amount of the transaction, or the Finli payment channel they pay through, each individual customer is only counted once, so you’ll never pay more than you expect to.

We recalculate active customers every month and invoice for the previous month in arrears, so you can rest assured that you’re only paying for what you need.

What if my customer count changes in the year?

Finli checks your customer count monthly and makes credits/debits to account for that change so you’re never paying more than you need to.

What if I have over 300 customers?
